Job DescriptionWe are working with a major medical institution to find them a Java Architect. QualificationsExperience 10 years of Java development experience.7 years of experience developing services and web applications in Java with Spring, MyBatis, Apache CXF, JSON, HTML5, JQuery, JS/CSS etcMust have experience building high availability and/or enterprise grade web applicationsExperience with Bootstrap framework is desired.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is desired.Hotel/ hospitality or Retail/e-commerce experience is desired.Development management experience may be helpful.RequirementsDemonstrable software design and architecture skillsAbility to design systems, services and UI from scratchRequired - Ability to reuse existing services and design frameworks for new developmentJava development skills required (preferably JDK7 or 8) along with a broad range of frontend and backend frameworksWeb service and REST API design, documentation, development skills required.Experience consuming third party API’s and services.Strong knowledge of databases required.Broad general experience and exposure to open source technologies supporting Java development and the Java ecosystem required.Exposure to mobile development (paid or unpaid) is a strong plusFamiliarity with alternative web technologies (Ruby, Node.js, etc.) a plusAdditional InformationWork with blueStone recruiting to find your next Web Development or Application Development role.
